Product Description

Alumina Ceramics: Inorganic Materials with Excellent Insulation and Heat ResistanceAlumina Ceramics: Inorganic Materials with Excellent Insulation and Heat ResistanceAlumina Ceramics: Inorganic Materials with Excellent Insulation and Heat ResistanceAlumina Ceramics: Inorganic Materials with Excellent Insulation and Heat ResistanceAlumina Ceramics: Inorganic Materials with Excellent Insulation and Heat ResistanceWe have been producing alumina (aluminum oxide, Al2O3) ceramic sheets for more than 15 years, and we adopt strict quality control and use carefully selected high-purity ceramic materials ranging from 95% to 99.8%.

The alumina ceramic sheets we produce have excellent electrical insulation, thermal conductivity, and high temperature resistance. One of its unique properties is its excellent surface quality with a surface roughness of up to Ra0.005, which allows it to be used as a substrate for thin film circuits. In addition, it can also be used as an alumina ceramic setter, playing a key role in the sintering process.

Common forming methods we use include tape casting, isostatic pressing and dry pressing. We offer a variety of thickness options from small to large sizes. With our complete manufacturing equipment and superb processing capabilities, we have the ability to go from prototype design to mass production in a short period of time.

Main characteristics of alumina ceramic sheet
1. Good thermal shock resistance, greater than 220 T(ºC)
2. High thermal conductivity of high purity alumina, up to 30 W/m.k at 25ºC
3. Good surface roughness, flatness to be 0.05mm with min. warpage, deformation
4. High dielectric strength, low dielectric constant, and dielectric loss.
5. Laser cutting or precision machining cutting makes tight tolerance.

The specification of ceramic sheets
1. Materials: 96% alumina, 99% alumina, 99.5% alumina, zirconia, silicon nitride, silicon carbide optional
2. Dimensional capability: the side length to be 500mm x 600mm, the thickness can be 0.15mm to 30mm
3. Surface treatment:  lapping, fine ground, diamond-like polished to be Ra0.05, metallization, glazed

Alumina Ceramics: Inorganic Materials with Excellent Insulation and Heat Resistance

Company Profile

Herun Ceramics is a leading enterprise focusing on the production of high-quality ceramic materials. We are committed to developing and manufacturing high-performance special ceramics such as alumina ceramics, zirconia ceramics, and titanium dioxide ceramics, which are widely used in multiple industries. Contact us
Alumina ceramics exhibit high hardness, high temperature resistance, corrosion resistance, and electrical insulation properties, making them excel in high-wear environments. They can maintain stable performance in high-temperature environments, have good resistance to chemicals and corrosive substances, and possess excellent electrical insulation properties, making them suitable for the electronics and electrical industries, among others. The characteristics of alumina ceramics include:

  • Density: 3.9 g/cm³
  • Hardness: 15 GPa (Vickers hardness)
  • Compressive strength: 2000 MPa
  • Flexural strength: 300 MPa
  • Thermal conductivity: 30 W/m·K
  • Thermal expansion coefficient: 8.2 x 10-6 /°C
Zirconia ceramics are characterized by high toughness, wear resistance, low thermal conductivity, and biocompatibility, giving them higher toughness and impact resistance compared to other ceramic materials. They perform exceptionally well in high-wear applications and are suitable for thermal insulation scenarios. Zirconia ceramics are also widely used in the medical field, such as in plunger pumps and blood separators. The characteristics of zirconia ceramics include:
  • Density: 6.0 g/cm³
  • Hardness: 12 GPa (Vickers hardness)
  • Compressive strength: 2000 MPa
  • Flexural strength: 1000 MPa
  • Thermal conductivity: 2.5 W/m·K
  • Thermal expansion coefficient: 10.5 x 10-6/°C
Herun Ceramics always adheres to the principle of innovation and quality. By continuously improving technology and processes, we ensure to provide customers with the highest quality products and services. We look forward to cooperating with more industry partners to promote the application and development of ceramic materials.
